My call for more models that would allow me the privilege of posting their photos has been answered! Some fresh, beautiful faces. So grateful for the trust that these women instill in me to do their makeover and photos. All of the models who granted permission to post their images did a little bit of everything. Some commercial-feeling portraits of who they are, some boudoir, some natural, carefree fun pictures. Such a honor. Here’s one gorgeous new girl I feel like calling a friend after the few hours we spent together. So easy to connect with… although most women that I meet and photograph in this capacity are easy to connect with to be honest…

Many many more pictures coming of this beautiful girl. And of course before and afters. Because I know that’s what really gets you hooked on the idea of this. Women in their pictures here look so strikingly beautiful. Not like normal people in everyday life. And to see the before and after, well. It shows that they ARE real. Their beauty is natural, just like everyone’s is.

Before a woman’s portrait session, especially if it is leaning towards boudoir photography, I hear so much nervousness, anxiety, stress before a session. I get it, I really do. We are women, we are vulnerable, we are conditioned to always worry about how we look… I am here to say- I’ve got this. I will not leave you stranded during our session to wonder if what you’re doing looks good or awkward or whatever. I will not dismiss your concerns, I will instead work discreetly to be sure that those specific concerns will appear unwarranted- I will pose you around those very things you divulge to me and will do everything in my power to make you love the way you look. If it can not be accomplished with magical, flattering posing and lighting, I will work a little bit of photoshop magic long after your photos are taken. Not a lot. Just a little bit.

Please know, hear me loud and clear, I’ve got this. You will not be left wondering if you look good. You will know you ARE looking good, as I am in front of you, camera between us, photographing your beautifulness. Trust me.

SO much fun the past few weeks photographing gorgeous women. One in her 20′s and 2 in their 50′s! Gorgeous, every one of them in their own way. Doing their hair and makeup for an amazing “after” look and photographing them… got amazing variety with each of them, some in the bedroom in some stunning lingerie, some in their kitchens, on sofas and in chairs and at windows… photographing confident, happy women in a boudoir-ish setting is just so much fun.

Unfortunately, no releases, no permission to share these women’s portraits, not their before & after, boudoir, or any of the sweet and sexy pictures. And while I love the girls I have photographed who let me share, I need some new photos for my website material!

I’m putting out a call for models… email me if you’re interested! And here she is. Could she be any more beautiful? Straightforward setting with delicious light in downtown Grand Rapids. A little ice and snow did not stop us from photographing this gorgeous woman. It’s a simple pose. Easy. Relaxed. Natural. I love the art of posing women for boudoir and natural portraits like this.

Part of the fun with an outdoor photo shoot is walking around finding fun places to photograph! We met downtown and chatted, froze, shivered, carried clothing changes, walked (in heels – well, her, not me) and had a great time. My photography is not always super sexy, sometimes it is casual sexy beautiful, just natural. I do love the sexier photo sessions, love the pretty soft lingere, but there is something to be said for the natural feel of an every day (a little extra pretty maybe) look for many women’s boudoir pictures. Love shooting in downtown Grand Rapids. Love shooting outdoors. Love shooting indoors. Love this photography. Loved this very cool chick to photograph.

Sort of boudoir… well, since boudoir means bedroom, I suppose it’s not entirely boudoir to go outside, but you know what I mean. I always hesitate to market this women’s photography as “boudoir” because it is so much more than that… but, here we are. A few great outdoor portraits of this gorgeous momma.

These makeover sessions are more than just photos. More than coming to your home in Grand Rapids and making you beautiful and posing you perfectly. They bring out your absolute most inner and outer beautiful and they forever embed that as a photograph. As a portrait that will always remind you of your beautiful. Worth it. You’ll see yourself differently.

I hope your Valentines day was great. I hope the whole week was great!

Someone emailed me asking how I get my models. I don’t. They’re regular people, and they find me! There have been a few women that I’ve seeked out, and a lot of Grand Rapids women won’t let me post their boudoir pictures (understandable but I do thrive on being able to share them when I am able!)

I want to be so clear that the women you see here are NOT by any stretch, professional models. Or even aspiring models! They are legal aids, hospital employees, work in retail, work at the YMCA, hang out at Target, take their kids to Java Gym, they’re all just totally normal women like you and me.

Might be a little delay in blogging… I’m still here though! Facebook me or email if you have any questions about a makeover photo session or boudoir photography. Sexy is back. Glamor is back. Finding your beautiful is absolutely back.
